CRUISE CONTROLL
Traditional Stock Horse Stallion

in 1995, CRUISE CONTROLL was my premiere into the world of Artist Resins Model Horses.

He started out, in 1994, as Breyer POA model, extensively bent and stretched, as an armature. Originally, he had a haired mane and tail. In fact, I had made him an interchangeable mane; full and braided, which was unheard of way back in 1994! The original was live shown numerous times and won many, many championships in both western and english events. He was so popular, and so many people encouraged me to have him cast in resin that I finally releneted. I modified him to a sculpted mane and tail and sent him off for production. It was a HUGE moment for me to actually have castings of one of my own pieces made. What a thrill!

Completed in the Fall of 1995, it was first released in the Spring of 1996 and the last castings were molded in the Fall of 2000. There were two moldings of him made. The first one had a thin tail and the second had a thicker tail.

Produced by DaBar Enterprises, there were less than 150 pieces in the entire run. They were solid-cast and I honestly do not remember if the first version even had leg supports. Unpainted copies originally sold for $150.00
