The Hackney Horse has long been known as the premier carriage horse of the UK. Originating in Great Britan, their presence and high-stepping style make them truly stand out! Standing 15-16 hands (60-64 inches at the withers), these elegant horses were bred for stamina and speed. They have been known to trot for many miles without tiring.c So if you want to get somewhere with style, the Hackney Horse would be your first choice! Breed colors are primarily bay, brown, chestnut, and black, with or without white markings.
The Hackney Horse breed is uncommon worldwide, with a global population of around 3,000. Most are found in Britain, with fewer than 200 Hackneys in North America and about 300 in Argentina.
