Since I began sculpting this piece, I envisioned him in a wild bay roan sabino pinto. I wanted him LOUD, dirty and looking as "broncy" as possible. From his split hooves to his sunburnt and unkempt mane and tail, stained and dirty parts (including his upper lip). This guy has never even SEEN a set of clippers and maybe not even a brush! He's as wild and rough as they come!
"Airmail" is meant to depict a Clydesdale cross Saddle Bronc that is very popular in today's Rodeos. And I hope that his color and conformation convey that accurately. AP#1 features actual hairs on his muzzle and around his eyes. (I used my own hair!)
