The Red Dirt Roundup offers several unique classes and is expanding some of the more popular classes to help encourage and facilitate the ever growing show strings of model horse enthusiasts in the Region.
We hope that you will enjoy your experience at our show and that you will choose to come back again next year!
ENTRY DEADLINE for payment by Personal Check is: October 15, 2012. If paying by PayPal or Money Order, the deadline is November 10, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS!
LIMITED NUMBER OF SHOW TABLES available! Entries accepted on a "first come-first-served basis.
Isles MUST remain Clear! For the benefit of all in attendance, ALL entrants must keep their show tubs, tack boxes, prop boxes, etc. confined to the area on top of or directly under their show table. We cannot allow people to block the walk-ways.
SECURITY: To help prevent theft, this show is a private event, (NOT advertised or open to the public), and only paid entrants and their families will be allowed in the show hall. The building will be locked each evening and we have every reason to believe it will be safe and secure. However, use your own judgment! Neither the Show Management or the Elks Lodge is responsible for any loss by theft or damage.
Identifying your entry: we will be using the CARD SYSTEM for all entries. Using a 3 x 5 card, put the model's name, breed and sex on one side and your name on the other side. WRITE LEGIBLY! If we cannot read the information on the card or if the owners' name is not on the back when results are compiled, the placing will be forfeited.
Class Limits: Halter - 4 horses per class. Performance - 2 entries per class. In the case of excessively large classes, the judge may split the class at their discretion.
No setups are allowed in halter classes (towels or cloths may be used under models that need to be laid down). Once a model has been shown in a halter class, it may not be shown again in any other halter class.
You may only show in the divisions you have paid to enter. No cross entry into divisions you have not paid to enter.
Minis have their own Halter Divisions. Mini Performance entries will be combined with either OF or CM/AR Performance Divisions.
Custom Division includes, Customized and Custom Painted Plastic, Cold-Painted China, and Custom Painted Factory Resins
Artist Resins include customized Artist Resins.
KNOW YOUR LIMITS! In order to give everyone a great showing experience, it is important that we keep to a time schedule. There will be a 5 minute time limit between halter classes and a 10 minute time limit between performance classes. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Championships: Champions will be determined by "judge-off" of all the 1st and 2nd place winners in any given division. These will need to be brought back to the judging tables, along with the ribbons that they have won in that division for the judge to evaluate. Championships are determined either by point or merit at the judges' discretion.
WEANLING/YEARLING HALTER CLASSES This Halter Division is for those youngsters that are in between nursing foals and adults, as they are vastly different in body development.
Judges decisions are final!
Be a good sport! Poor sportsmanship, rude or disruptive behavior and foul language will not be tolerated!
Collectibility: All showers are urged to place an informational card by their model if they want it judged on collectibility. If you fail to include collectibility info by your horse it is not the judges responsibility to look up or verify a models collectability.
Sales: Entrants may sell items from their show tables. Non-entants may purchase a sales table for the Friday Night Swap & Shop.
Please be considerate of others! NO SMOKING and NO SPRAYING OF ANY TYPE OF PAINT OR FINISH in the Show Hall. NO PETS!
LUNCH: We will break for one hour as close to noon as possible on both days. There are loads of fast-food places nearby or you can bring your lunch if you like.
